Abstract:

This paper is reported that triploids were induced in the Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas) using cytochalasin B. The result shows that the percentage of triploids was 75. 0%, treated with CB concentration of 0. 25mg/L duration 20min The percentage of incubation of D-form larvae was 40 - 50%. 18, 464 thousand triploid spats were cultured during 1992 - 1996.
